As discussed at the general meeting of the CERN TT Club, the annual CERN Table Tennis Championship will take place on Saturday July 30, 2016, starting at 13:30 at the Meyrin Table Tennis Club (2 rue de Livron, 1217 Meyrin – Tram 14, stop ForuMeyrin). It is open to all CERN Staff, retired Staff, visitors, and their families, and in particular, to summer students, who are most welcome.

DATE & TIME: Saturday, July 30, 2016 starting at 1:30 PM
PUBLIC DRAW: at 13:00 at the club
LOCATION: Meyrin Table Tennis Club (Tram: 14, direction Gravière, stop: FORUMEYRIN) 2, rue de Livron, 1217 Meyrin, near the swimming pool entrance. (See map on Club Web page http://www.cern.ch/tabletennis)
FORMULA: Open to players of all levels, from beginners to elite, on 6 tables.
Each player will be guaranteed to play at least 4 matches, as players will be arranged by groups of 4, and play against each other in order to rank them before entering a main draw for the first two of the group, and a consolation draw for the others two.

Entry fee: 15 CHF (to be collected at the club before the start).
PRIZES:
One “prix souvenir” to each participant. Special prizes to winner, finalists and players reaching semi-finals of the main draw, winner of the consolation draw and first woman.

Outdoor tables at restaurant # 1, # 2 and # 3
The CERN Table Tennis Club, with the support of the CERN Staff Association, has installed outdoor tables outside all three restaurants. These tables are in self-service, and everyone at CERN is encouraged to go and try their skills with the little plastic ball, and of course train to prepare for the CERN TT championship.
