New outdoor table at Restaurant #3

Submitted by revol on

Dear Colleagues, I am happy to announce that last week we installed a new ping-pong table at Restaurant # 3. Thanks to the help of Pierre, Plamen and ShiZhe, we could assemble the table, and even try it. The person at the bar can lend you up to 4 racquets, in exchange for your ID card (it's free of course!), which you will get back when you return the racquets. If you work on the Prevessin site, could you please advertise this, so that many people can enjoy ping-pong during their lunch breaks, etc.Image

Training table tennis camps for children and adults during summer

Submitted by revol on

The Club organizes special training camps in the summer for children (one week from 14:00 to 18:00) and for adults (the same week from 18:00 to 20:00), at the Meyrin club.

The dates are:
– 1st camp: June 29 to July 3
– 2nd camp: July 6 to July 10
– 3rd camp: August 17 to August 21

These camps are open to everyone, not only CERN people and their families.

These camps will only take place if the number of participants is sufficient, but in the past years this was always the case.
The coach, Wilfried, is a professional table tennis coach, and you will be amazed by the progress you can make, training with him in one week.
Two of the kids training with him in the club table tennis school are number 2 and 3 in Switzerland, in their age category.
